i have not fallen off a cliff

i have considered trying to, but i have not yet done so.

no, what is going on is that the Other family is preparing for a cross-town move to the New Other Mansion. And, as things would have it, we received the first offer on the Current Other Mansion yesterday. Which was promptly compounded this morning by another offer (before we had accepted the first), and a day of listening to realtors waffle about this and that, and having to leave the house three times as other realtors wanted to give their clients a chance to potentially offer on the Current Other Mansion as well. But no, we have just the two offers, and the first one countered our counter-offer with the full price, so tomorrow begins the paperwork tango. three months of next-to-nothing to suddenly blow up today. kinda fun.

i will be up late working on the things i was trying to do earlier while realtors were wandering back and forth aimlessly, and will try to get some posts up during a 12:30 a.m. teleconference (the company i’m currently contracted with is almost all west-coast, bah) that is mostly irrelevant to me, because it’s stuff that as the QA Lead i’ve already broken and demoralized, or already have a test plan in line to do.

it looks like the StumbleUpon bump has finally winded its way down. kinda sad. and yes, as you can see, i don’t really normally get a whole hell of a lot of throughput. probably because i rub people the wrong way. (i keep telling them it works better if they lie down, but they never listen)

speaking of late-night inanities, check out what i did during last night’s yawn-fest. (and by yawn-fest, i don’t mean the meeting was necessarily boring. the entire team is pretty tired right now. and yes, if you’re wondering, we’re starting the move and all that fun stuff right at the top of the project bell-curve. it’s fun for everyone!). anyway, the big number took place in less than week. the other numbers reflect a bit more normalcy. neat, huh?

gawd, i’m tired. and to top it all off, i have another strep infection. please just….shoot me.

i digressed. go figure. give it a try. the site is still “beta”, but i have more of the same in the works. randomly benevolent mitigative ruminations

cardboard. we’re not even moving yet, and i’m already tired of looking at cardboard.
