….and it’s not a unique one. I’m way behind on keeping up on my RSS feeds, but I’ve seen a couple of people posit this question, and I agree wholeheartedly.
WHY THE FUCK DO WE KEEP TALKING ABOUT SARAH PALIN?
Last time I checked, our Democratic candidate has some great ideas, insightful observations, and significant challenges to the status quo that we really ought to be focusing on. This is especially true if we are atheists or agnostics. We–and yes, the finger is also pointing at me right now, too–are spending way too much time lavishing attention on a woman who obviously aspires to little else than the attention, positive or negative, that she receives.
Let’s get back to challenging the Democratic Party to promote its ideals and to help positively influence the citizens of the country to step away from the option to turn our government into an oppressive, exclusionary, theocratic hegemony.
Besides, doing little more than pointing our fingers at the stupidity of others is hardly an overly intelligent exercise.
Bad me.
