Victor Orta has revealed that football management over the summer helped Sevilla reduce costs by around 20 million euros.

Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta has revealed how his work this summer has achieved the club’s objectives. The latter reduces costs by €20 million and is able to upgrade the team at the same time. According to a report from Marca last Saturday UFABET

Orta has faced some difficult times this summer. Both signing additional new players and releasing many players from the club, with only Yassine Bunu being the only one in the starting line-up.

Sevilla let Bunu move to Al-Hilal for a fee of 21 million euros, while Thomas Delaney, Gonzalo Montel, Ludwig Augustinsson, Jo Angel Carmona and Oscar Rodriguez joined the club on loan, while Alejandro Papu Gomez and Ousmane Idrissi agreed to cancel their contracts with the club.

The famous southern team also signed many new players including Federico Gattoni, Adriana Pedrosa, Djibril Sow, Orjan Nyland, Dodi Lugebaki. Oh, Boubakary Soumare and Mariano Diaz, as well as the permanent signing of Loic Bade.

‘The aim is to reduce the team’s costs and quality levels. There is only one departing player who could be considered a starter (Yassine Bunu), with the arrival of several players. We have reduced costs by 20 million euros.’

Orta also revealed that Sevilla could generate more funds. But they chose to retain quality players despite offers coming to the club. ‘We received an offer from a top team worth more than €10 million to bring in four players, but we turned it down. Not selling is the same as buying.’
